All the teachers and faculty are so welcoming and open minded, and student-teacher communication comes so easily. While teaching about God, teachers also teach us academics that prepares us for College. Rosati's high academic standards and support system of phenomenal teachers did more than just prepare me for future learning, they inspired me as a learner and motivated me to continue to grow in my faith and academic pursuits. Overall, Visitation Academy has a really good academic atmosphere. I would ask for more diversity in the science department. The children learn to think for themselves, while being compassionate. Although they hold biweekly chapel services, and all students take a biblically-based course, there is not really any other reinstatement of Christianity. Things like conge, field day, hanging in the commons and the amazing food are also great bonuses. Because it is so small and because its mission is supportive of family life, it consciously does not host many types of activities and levels of sports and college-level coursework you might find elsewhere, and it does not have the resources (and will not pretend otherwise) to offer all levels of learning support. It was a real credit to the faculty -- and to the commitment of the students. I am so proud to be an angel alum. They study cultures by engaging in the rich historical resources St. Louis communities offer. But, despite all the great things about this school, it is not perfect. The school is truly dedicated to social justice, racial equity, and community well-being--in a way that I have never heard of a high school being before. The atmosphere and camaraderie that Christian Brothers High School brings between the students is priceless. I cannot imagine my high school experience anywhere else. It's a warm and welcoming, safe environment with solid academics and a Christian umbrella over everything.
