Then again I’m also one of those people who liked ac 3 when it first came out. We want to create an inspiring environment for our members and have defined a set of guidelines. I agree, syndicate was kinda like an excuse to continue using the engine but in terms of lore and functionality as an assassin, you actually felt like one.

I skipped unity and syndicate when they first came out so I figured now was a good time to go back to them to scratch the AC itch.

Assassins Creed Unity is actually pretty good. Also, you play as two characters that feel like they are from Peaky Blinders or Sherlock Holmes Guy Ritchie movie who use rope launcher to scale buildings.

All I can say is how much I forgot how beautiful this game was. You were actually an assassin in a city which felt so alive. They could not adapt to the new status quo. While the game has some flaws, and still does post-patch, it's still a fun game. Post patch, the game is quite stable and fun. And I played it at launch so can't imagine how much better the patches have made it. Sure, it's not close to perfect, but man, it oozes old style Assassin's Creed. Ign gives Assassin's Creed Valhalla an 8. I like Origin's style AC, but it got too RPG for me in Odyssey, to the point it stopped seeming like an AC game to me. I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan here and just beat Unity today for the second time. All it needs is a 4K stable 30 fps or 60 fps option with all the bugs removed. If you look at it being a core AC game in terms of assassination's, crowd blending etc. If they remastered this on next gen I would buy it over Valhalla.

I really hope Valhalla has the fluidity of Unity. Paris is incredibly and I wish they'd doubled down on dense cities instead of bloated, shallow maps, particularly in Odyssey. The rest of the games didn’t really tap into that feeling of being an assassin (origins being the transition game as it was both assassins creed and a quasi rpg).
